  • Who Invited Them?

    Senior Pastors and Pastoral Staff of the Canada Pacific District were invited by Ambrose University College, the National Board and their District leaders to attend Professional Development Days in Abbotsford October 20-21, 2009. The attendance included Pastors from Whitehorse, Prince George, Vancouver Island and across the southern half of the District with the highest attendance yet at this annual event.

  • Youth in Mission Students are HERE!!!

    Each summer Youth In Mission places over 100 college students from the United States and Canada in ministry around the world. Each participant selected commits himself/herself to a 12-week extensive “advance training” program during the spring, raises a ministry contribution to the program, participates in Youth In Mission Training Camp, and serves for about 7 weeks in a self-giving, intense ministry experience followed by a time of debriefing.

  • Rev. Doreen Greenwood Honoured by Community

    “Last night (February 13) was civic night and now I know why I was asked to come and to invite my family. I was given the town’s award for volunteer of the year for my work with people, and with the homeless and those in need. I was very humbled by it. Love, Doreen”

  • Pastors’ and Spouses Retreat Report

    On January 16 to 18, 2009 our District Pastors, Pastoral staff and spouses met together at Cedar Springs retreat centre in Sumas, Washington for a weekend of renewal and reflection. Dr. Riley Coulter, Ambrose Chancellor, was the speaker and students from Ambrose University College did a wonderful job as they led us in times of worship. Our theme was centered around the idea that God is our HOME.

    Announcing election results from the recently held Sunday School Discipleship Ministries Convention, the Nazarene Missions International Convention and the District Assembly held at the Abbotsford Church of the Nazarene June 25-27, 2008. We congratulate all who were elected to the various positions of ministry responsibility and look forward to a wonderful year across our District.

  • Curitiba, Brazil Missions Trip

    Meet Jeise Ebert and her dad, Claudio, from Curitiba, Brazil. Jeise teaches English while attending university in Curitiba and Claudio is the Senior Pastor of an Evangelcal Free Church. Jeise volunteered at the Abbotsford Church of the Nazarene for a year in 2006/2007 as a youth staff while she was working at an elementary school on an exchange program with MCC. Towards the end of her time in Canada, she shared with us her dream to have a team of Canadian youth come to Brazil to join her and her Father in minstering to those in need within their city. This missions trip to Brazil is the fulfillment of that dream!
